Dovetail is a Texas-based distributor of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe. HDPE pipe has a wide range of uses in oil and gas production, directional drilling, pressure rated water lines, natural gas lines, sewer systems and many other industrial applications.

Meet Our Team
Ryan Montgomery
Co-Founder
Prior to co-founding Dovetail Distributors, Ryan worked for Ideal Partners, where he held various roles in account management for Ideal’s commercial and residential service divisions. Additionally, Ryan started his career working with Structural and Steel Products in Fort Worth, Texas where he was responsible for production schedules and project management in the Texas and California highway markets.
Ryan is a native of Albany, Texas. He graduated from The Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University with a BBA in Entrepreneurial Management. He lives in Fort Worth with his wife, Paige and two sons, Ryan Jr. and Rhett. Both Ryan and Paige are actively involved with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in Fort Worth and Houston. Ryan serves as a board member for the North East Texas Chapter, and they both volunteer on the 65 Roses Golf Tournament committee in Houston and the Band of Roses committee in Fort Worth.
Clint Shack
Co-Founder
Before co-founding Dovetail Distributors, Clint Shack co-founded an oil field service company, Shack Acid and Cement Services, Inc., based out of Albany, Texas. He served as COO, directed daily operations, managed sales teams, culminated new businesses relationships and oversaw financial practices. In January 2019, Shack Acid and Cement Services was acquired by Flying A Pumping Services, LLC. Currently, Clint remains on the board of Flying A Pumping Services.
Clint also grew up in Albany, and he currently lives in Abilene with his wife, Erin, and two children, Piper and Harry. He graduated from Texas Tech University from The Rawls College of Business with a BBA in Finance. Clint is actively involved with the FSH Society, which provides research funding and support for patients with FascioScapuloHumeral Muscular Dystrophy.
